Samsung Galaxy S8 gets this special camera feature of the Galaxy Note 9 – Mobile News

After the update, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users will get to create AR Emoji and shoot Super Slow Motion videos from the native camera app itself.
Samsung has released a firmware update for its older flagship Galaxy S8 to add exclusive camera features which are available only in the latest Galaxy S9, S9+ and Galaxy Note 9. The new software update for the Galaxy S8 brings in Super Slow Motion and AR Emoji. Samsung is reportedly rolling out these features for the bigger Galaxy S8+ as well. After the update, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users will get to create AR Emoji and shoot Super Slow Motion videos from the native camera app itself. Samsung had earlier offered the same software upgrade package for the Galaxy Note 8 as well.
However, there is a slight difference in the Super Slow Motion feature, while the latest Galaxy S9+, S9 and Note 9 can record slow motion video at 960 frames per second, the older Galaxy S8, S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 will be able to record slow motion videos at 480 frames per second at 720p resolution at 0.2 second and 0.4 second intervals.
Samsung had recently announced a price cut for the Galaxy S8 and is available for as low as Rs 45,990. Paytm Mall, the e-commerce wing of the digital solution provider Paytm is offering a 16% discount on the smartphone. You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 at an effective price of Rs 38,000.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.80-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2960 pixels and has a ppi index of 570 pixels per inch. The smartphone comes with Samsung’s ‘Infinity Display’ which is dual edge and has 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
It was launched with a price tag of Rs 57,990. The smartphone is powered by company’s own Exynos 8895 processor. The company has rolled out Android 8 Oreo update for the smartphone earlier this year. For imaging duties, the smartphone flaunts a 12MP ‘Dual Pixel’ rear cameras with optical image stabilisation, LED flash and f/1.7 aperture. The front of the smartphone consists of an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.7 aperture.
It comes in two storage variants — 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB internal storage. The storage may be further expanded upto 256GB using the micro-SD card.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is backed by a 3000mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy S8 offers connectivity options that include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type C, NFC and GPS. The handsets also offer support for Samsung Pay, iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, and facial recognition.
