Will Ark’s 1-yard run and Eric Zeboor’s kick was the difference in Michigan Tech’s 31-30 overtime victory Saturday over Hillsdale at Sherman Field in Houghton.
During its turn in OT, Hillsdale scored on a 13-yard pass from Chance Stewart to Austin Sandusky. But Joe Philipp failed on the point-after kick.
Tech’s James Henderson rushed for 120 yards on 28 carries, including a 6-yard touchdown run with 2:26 left. Ark’s two-point conversion run tied it at 24-all.
Stewart finished 18-of-31 for 261 yards passing, including three TDs. David Graham, Konnor Maloney and Martin Petersen also scored TDs for Hillsdale (1-1).

(At) Davenport 7, Wisconsin-Oshkosh 3: Quarterback Haiden Majewski scored on a 7-yard run in the second quarter lifting Davenport (2-0) over Division III No. 3 ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Peyton Peterson’s 37-yard field goal put Wisconsin-Oshkosh on the board with 14:10 left.
(At) Northern Michigan 27, UT Permian Basin 21: Jake Myron rushed for 224 yards on 35 carries, including a 24-yard score with 4:50 left that proved to the difference for the Huskies (1-1). Mitchell Leonard’s 31-yard TD pass reception with 2:21 remaining pulled UT Permian Basin (0-2) within striking distance but Northern ran out the clock.
Missouri S&T 27, (at) Northwood 16: Braxton Graham had scoring grabs of 5 and 6 yards as Tyler Swart finished 23-of-33 for 190 yards passing and three TDs for Missouri S&T (2-0). Grant Dunatchik passed for a score and ran in for another for Northwood (0-2).
Saginaw Valley 41, (at) Walsh 10: Nate McCrary had TD runs of 3 and 2 yards while Connor Luksic added field goals of 40 and 32 yards in Saginaw Valley’s season-opening win. Jamel Robinson returned an interception 51 yards for Walsh (0-1).
