Snochia Moseley was identified as the suspect in the mass shooting that left three people dead on Sept. 20 at a Rite Aid distribution warehouse in Maryland.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office tweeted, “Deputies were dispatched to the reported shooting at 9:09 a.m.” It added: “We can confirm there was a shooting in the area of Spesutia Road and Perryman Road. Multiple victims. The situation is still fluid.”
“We are so preliminary in this investigation,” Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said, Fox News reported . “It’s so important that we deal in facts.”
People are being asked to avoid the area outside of Perryman, located 30 miles northeast of Baltimore, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Zenith Freight Lines, TruAire, the Clorox Company, and Maines Paper & Food Service are also located at the same business park where the Rite Aid distribution center is located.
A law enforcement official also told Fox News that the suspect may have been a woman. The incident is no longer an active shooter situation as of 11:30 a.m. local time.
However, the FBI deemed it “active shooter situation,” The Associated Press reported .
“We are closely monitoring the horrific shooting in Aberdeen. Our prayers are with all those impacted, including our first responders. The state stands ready to offer any support,” Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said on Twitter.
“What I understand is the location is secure,” said Rite Aid spokeswoman Susan Henderson to CNN . “The distribution center is where products are received and processed for delivery,” she added. “The shooting happened adjacent to the primary building.”
“I, of course, thought it was far off or, that’s like down the road or something, right?” Colleen Hendrickson, who lives nearby, told CNN. “No, it’s right outside. It’s right on the doorstep.”
“It’s really just usually very calm, and this is the most chaotic I’ve ever seen it,” she added. “It’s very scary when it’s just right there on your doorstep because you can see a billion news reports about shooters, about emergency instances, and it still doesn’t make it real to you.”
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan commented on the incident.
“We are closely monitoring the horrific shooting in Aberdeen. Our prayers are with all those impacted, including our first responders. The State stands ready to offer any support,” Hogan tweeted.
Aberdeen and Perryman are located about 30 miles northeast of Baltimore.
Agents from the Baltimore offices of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the FBI also responded, the agencies said.
The shooting occurred a day after a man shot and wounded four people, including a police officer, at a Pennsylvania court building before he was killed by police, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
