Days Gone Release Date Pushed From Its “Crowded” February Window

Days Gone release date is pushed two months back to avoid collision with Anthem, Anno, and others. The game will now release in April.
Sony has just announced a delay for Days Gone. The game will no longer release in February, according to Sony. Days Gone release date is now April 26,2018, due to a crowded February release window.
Delaying a game to avoid a head-on collision with some of the other heavy hitters is a smart business move. However, it doesn’t look good as it shows lack of faith in the project. Especially, when you combine this with the lack of hype and marketing campaign pushing the game. EA did something similar to Battlefield V.
Battlefield V is delated to November in order to avoid collision with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Black Ops 4. Battlefield 5 originally planned to take on both of these juggernauts but after backlash over its political agenda, EA decided to push it November, making it one of the few Battlefield games to release in November.
Days Gone on the other hand had a crowded window where games like Anthem, Anno, Crackdown 3, and others.
Days Gone release date is now two months late, hopefully, this extra time will also be used to further polish the experience.
