October is a big month for Destiny 2 thanks to two major updates coming to the game that will fix many issues, including the Malfeasance Boss and Scout Rifle damage.
October is going to be a big month for Destiny 2. Following the release of Forsaken, the development team has been tracking the complaints and bugs popping up in the game, and many of them are being taken care of this month. Nearly everything from the Malfeasance hand cannon to transmat effects is getting some fine-tuning this month. Here is everything changing during the two big updates coming in October.
Destiny 2’s 2.0.4 update is set to launch on October 16, and will fix a number of immediate bugs that the community has brought to Bungie’s attention, as well as some quality-of-life changes that will make the game better. It will include the following changes:
This update is scheduled to roll out on October 30. This patch is still in development so some changes may be moved back depending on if the team needs more time to fix the issues.
Alongside the 2.0.5 update there will be some changes to Gambit, including an increase to the Malfeasance Boss spawn rate. The spawn rate will be on-par with other Primevals on the week where the Dreaming City curse is at its highest, but will still receive a buff to spawn rates for the other weeks as well.
Quitter penalties will also be added to Gambit once update 2.0.5 rolls around, as well as a change to the heavy ammo crates for Swords and Sleeper Simulant. Heavy ammo crates will give 12 sword ammo (up from six) and two Sleeper Simulant rounds (down from six). There is no other mention of any other nerfs to Sleeper Simulant.
These changes clearly show that Bungie is listening to the community and adjusting certain parts of the game accordingly. The Malfeasance Boss was highly complained about due to it being tied to RNG. Hopefully, more players will be able to defeat this boss to get the (soon to be buffed) exotic hand cannon.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
