Sony adds ten new PlayStation 4 games to PS Now, and resets seven-day trials for all PSN account holders.
A new post on the PlayStation blog has confirmed the ten new games coming to the PlayStation Now streaming and download service in October. Pick of the bunch is Bethesda’s MMORPG, Elder Scrolls Online, Plastic’s artistic platformer, Bound, and shooty gun game, Sniper Elite 4.
PS Now has recently been revamped to offer full game downloads of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 2 titles, in addition to streaming. The change aligns it the service more closely with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass plan which offers an à la carte selection of games, including all first-party titles on release day.
PS Now still has a way to go to compete on that level, but the game download feature is certainly a step in the right direction. In recognition of how the service has changed, Sony is now resetting PS Now’s 7-day trial for all PSN account holders. This means that users who have previously trialed the service get another chance to sample its wares.
However, there’s a word of warning. Trials will automatically renew at $19.99 at the end of the seven-day period.
