Graydon Carter co-hosts premiere of film depicting reporter

The former Vanity Fair editor is back on the scene.
Back from his six-month “garden leave” after stepping down as editor of Vanity Fair, Graydon Carter has been back on the scene.
He co-hosted a New York premiere of new film “A Private War” at the Whitby Hotel this week with Lawrence O’Donnell.
Carter quipped of the famed war correspondent, played by Rosamund Pike in the film, “I did know Marie Colvin. I remember assigning the best Marie at Vanity Fair, the other great Marie, Marie Brenner, to do a story on her, which she then turned into a book which then became this movie.”
Pike, who’s been getting Oscar buzz, attended, along with director Matthew Heineman.
Greg Kelly moderated a Q&A.
