Mr. Big was going to die of a heart attack in “Sex and the City 3.”
The franchise might be over, but the juicy behind-the-scenes information keeps coming out. This shocking tidbit was revealed on journalist James Andrew Miller’s “Origins” podcast, where he interviewed the cast and creators of the iconic HBO show and movie franchise.
“Sex and the City 3” infamously was never made. Sarah Jessica Parker, who starred as Carrie Bradshaw in the show from 1998 to 2004 and in the films in 2008 and 2010, revealed that the third movie was scratched in a September 2017 interview with Extra.
“It’s over… we’re not doing it,” she said. “I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story.”

“People close to Kim believe that the script didn’t have a lot to offer the character of Samantha,” Miller says. “They point to the fact that it calls for Mr. Big to die of a heart attack in the shower, relatively early on in the film, making the remainder of the movie more about how Carrie recovers from Big’s death than about the relationship between the four women.”
