“After Telltale shut its doors, the game was, unfortunately, unable to be worked on and hence the release dates of Episodes 3 and 4 have been delayed,” reads an official blog post .
“We’re excited to let you know that many of the talented, passionate team members who originally worked on the game are resuming development efforts today.”
Skybound’s CEO has stated that he wished the new version of the game could have been made by the entirety of the original team, but that won’t be the case. With numerous developers from the now-closed studio moving onto new projects, many Skybound staff members will have to move in.
Those who purchased The Final Season will still have access to the new episodes as they normally would. The new episodes currently have no release date.
