An elderly woman died in a house fire on Christmas day in southeast Houston, according to Houston Fire Department officials.
An off-duty fire captain, Art De La Garza, apparently saw the blaze and went into the home in 10300 block of Sagerock before emergency responders got to the scene, officials said.
