Piranha Plant was the first DLC fighter to be announced for Smash Ultimate. The classic Super Mario enemy isn’t part of the Smash Ultimate Fighters Pass, however, and is available for free for early adopters of the game. Those of us who fail to pick up and register a copy of the game in time will be able to purchase Piranha Plant when he goes live in February 2019. Nintendo revealed the first DLC character that forms part of the five-strong Fighters Pass at the Game Awards 2018. Each character that forms the Fighters Pass will also come bundled with a stage and music tracks.
