Amazon Music indeed landed on Android TV recently. However, the service is currently restricted to the increasingly aging NVIDIA Shield TV, a powerful but old Android TV Box. Although certainly not the rollout Amazon Music users had hoped for, the gradual steps taken by Amazon could be a strong indicator of the company’s changing attitude towards allowing consumption of its content streaming platforms on hardware that other manufacturers offer. After all, Apple Music recently took a very significant step in this very subject.
