The Control Center on your iPhone or iPad offers quick access to a number of features and settings. With iOS 11 or higher, Control Center appears as a floating array of buttons for such options as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Brightness, Volume, and Music. You can also add or remove certain options, so Control Center sports your favorite features. Let’s check out Control Center in action to see how you can use it and tweak it.
First, make sure your iOS device is running the latest version of iOS. To check, open Settings > General > About. Scroll down the About screen to the entry for Version. If you see 12 or higher listed, you’re good to go. If not, tap on the Back arrow to return to the General screen and tap on the entry for Software Update to download and install the latest version of iOS.
To trigger Control Center on an iPhone X or later, or any iPad with iOS 12 or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. To trigger it on an older iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The Control Center icons appear.
