Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) on Wednesday called President Trump an „unindicted co-conspirator“ in the case against Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, repeating a phrase used by other Democrats when referring to the president’s relationship with Cohen.
Lieu made the remarks following Cohen’s sentence of three years in federal prison stemming from eight federal charges he pleaded guilty to in August, including campaign finance violations tied to hush money payments to two women alleging affairs with Trump more than a decade ago.
