Two weeks ago, AP Top 25 voters faced a difficult decision. Gonzaga knocked off then-No. 1 Duke at the Maui Invitational, pretty much guaranteeing there would be a new No. 1 team. The only question was who it would be: Gonzaga or Kansas?
I went with Kansas. Gonzaga certainly had the best win of the season to date, but I preferred the Jayhawks’ resume that included wins against Michigan State and Tennessee. The decision was nearly split: Gonzaga got 32 first-place votes to Kansas’ 31 and earned the No.
