Country singer Reba McEntire will honor George H. W. Bush by singing “The Lord’s Prayer.”
Gone, but never forgotten. Former President George H. W. Bush will be buried in Texas next to his wife, Barbara Bush, and their daughter, Robin, following a service on Thursday. The 41st president’s funeral will be held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston. The service will feature a lineup of performers and speakers as well.
Bush died at 94 on November 30 at his home in Houston. He suffered from vascular parkinsonism, which is a form of Parkinson’s disease. The medical condition affects mobility, and the former president used a motorized wheelchair in his later years. His wife, Barbara, died in April from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
