California Sen. Kamala Harris will hold a town hall with Iowa Democrats next week, one day after launching her 2020 presidential campaign in her home town of Oakland.
The event, hosted by CNN, will be in Des Moines Monday Jan. 28. Additional details about her trip will be announced in the coming days, according to the campaign.
Harris, 54, announced Monday on “Good Morning America” that she will seek the Democratic presidential nomination. She plans to launch her campaign at a rally on Jan. 27, in Oakland, California, where she was born and raised.
Her trip to Iowa the next day follows a visit she made in October to help Iowa Democrats campaign ahead of the midterms.
