ATLANTA — Mark Forsley stood outside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday morning wearing a New England Patriots jersey and a sign that read “We Need Two Tickets Please!”
With just hours before kickoff for Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams, Forsley said he and his wife Leslie Forsley were hoping someone with extra tickets would sell them two. Forsley was willing to pay $1,000 per ticket.
“I’ve been to five Patriots Super Bowls and it’s worked every time,” said Forsley, a Boston native who now lives in Nashville. “People see me that have extra tickets and they know that I’m a real fan.”
Forsley joined throngs of other people who flooded the areas surrounding the stadium on a cloudy morning with temperatures near 60 degrees.
