The Rams haven’t had a first-round pick in the NFL draft since selecting Jared Goff in 2016. They haven’t picked in the back half of the first round since 2005. And with 30 teams picking ahead of them on Thursday night, strange things are bound to happen leading up to the 31st pick.
Depending on how the board plays out, the Rams will explore their options to trade out of that pick. But if they wind up standing pat, here are 10 prospects the Rams might target with their first-round selection:
Garrett Bradbury, C, N. C. State
A plug-and-play center who perfectly fits the Rams zone running scheme, Bradbury could step in on Day 1 and make an immediate impact clearing the way for Todd Gurley.
Elgton Jenkins, C, Mississippi State
Drafting Jenkins in the first round might be a reach, but he visited the Rams, and if they judge he has the highest ceiling of any available interior line prospect, they could take that risk. SEC experience doesn’t hurt.
Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College
At the Combine, Lindstrom’s SPARQ score – which measures athleticism – put him in the 95th percentile among offensive linemen.
