Samsung has updated its Linux on DeX program with support for more devices including the Galaxy S9 range, Galaxy S10 series, and Galaxy Tab S5e. The update is up for grabs from the Play Store in beta.
Samsung unveiled its Linux on DeX program in late 2017 alongside the Galaxy S8 series as part of efforts to provide desktop-like experience to the users of its Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It enables users to run Linux-based systems like Ubuntu on their mobile device within the DeX environment, thus allowing them to replace their traditional desktops if they so choose.
