Bungie may be planning to make Destiny 2 free-to-play later this year according to an accidentally leaked article. Per the leak, the game will also be coming to Steam, leaving Battle.net exclusivity.
Destiny 2 may be about to undergo a massive change, but a leak may have ruined the surprise. In a now pulled Engadget article that was made public before its time, it was revealed that just as the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion lands on September 17, the popular shooter will be going free-to-play.
Titled Destiny 2: New Light, this free-to-play version will contain full base game as well as all of the year one content.
