Report: Pixel 4a Delayed to July, 64GB Model Likely Canceled

Google reportedly chose to cancel the 64GB model to focus on the 128GB model, which might cost $50 less than Apple’s iPhone SE while offering more storage.
Google will not release the Pixel 4a until this summer, Android Police reports.
It’ll likely debut in July, but Android Police’s David Ruddock suggests Google hasn’t decided on an exact date. Further, the Pixel 4a might get delayed into August or September if the supply chain struggles to manufacture units. Since Google allegedly made a late-stage audible, manufacturing partners need additional time. Manufacturers are also still in the process of reopening facilities during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Google initially planned to announce the Pixel 4a in May; however, after Apple’s iPhone SE made its presence known, the product needed some tweaking to remain competitive.
