The Orange County Health Care Agency reported another 873 new cases of the coronavirus
The Orange County Health Care Agency reported another 873 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, July 16. The cumulative total for Orange County’s is 27,904 since local testing began in March.
There were 11 new deaths reported Thursday, bringing the total number of Orange County residents who have died to 466.
The data on deaths in the county is compiled from death certificates or gathered through the course of case investigation and can take weeks to process, officials say.
Of the 466 deaths,222 were skilled nursing facility residents,16 were in assisted living facilities and two were listed as homeless.
