West is explaining why he is running for president now that he no longer supports Trump.
Billionaire rapper Kanye West confirmed he is no longer supporting President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign as he emerges with his own presidential aspirations for the White House.
During an interview with Forbes magazine on Tuesday, West, who has actually never voted in his life, declared that he was officially taking off his red “Make America Great Again” hat as he no longer supports Trump.
“I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,” West said.
West also explained why he previously supported Trump despite the backlash he faced for it.
“One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community,” West said. “Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby.
