San Francisco 49ers’ NFL Preseason Schedule Cut Down To Two Games

The San Francisco 49ers NFL preseason schedule has been cut down to two games due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s probably not a bad thing for NFL fans. They have been calling for the league to shorten its preseason for some time now.
That’s now come to fruition amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the United States. The NFL will announce later this week that it has cut the 2020 preseason in half.
I previously focused on what this meant for the Las Vegas Raiders. Interestingly enough, they remain interconnected with their former Bay Area rivals in that the San Francisco 49ers.
The defending NFC champs will now open their preseason at Levi’s Stadium on Aug. 21 against the above-mentioned Raiders. It’s the first preseason game the two teams have played in years after officials saw an uptick in violence among fans during games between the rivals.
San Francisco will then head to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears on Aug.
