Activision has officially teased Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, a history-based first-person shooter coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The leaks and rumors were true — Activision has teased the next Call of Duty game, and it’s another Black Ops title (with a slight twist). Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be revealed in full on August 26, but a preview clip lays the groundwork for a potentially intriguing story. It’s based on KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov’s claims the Soviet Union relied on decades-long “active measures” to subvert countries, and that a spy codenamed Perseus had infiltrated Western intelligence as part of this plan.
