Trump hasn’t seen a “convention bounce” in voter support, while Biden largely maintains his national polling lead.
An increase in support for President Trump following the Republican National Convention hasn’t materialized, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, as Americans remain much more concerned over the coronavirus pandemic than crime in a possible rejection of Trump’s attacks on Joe Biden for being weak on crime. In the Reuters poll, more Republicans than Democrats said crime was not increasing in their communities, at 65% to 62%.60%. That’s how many Americans believe the federal government’s response to the pandemic has made the pandemic worse, according to another Tuesday poll from Axios/Ipsos.
