A 2001 graduate of Detroit Catholic Central, former Major League Baseball pitcher Charlie Haeger suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend in Arizona.
Former Detroit Catholic Central baseball star Charles Haeger,37, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a Grand Canyon trail Saturday evening. He is suspected of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Breed,34. Haeger’s abandoned grey 2020 Chrysler Voyager was found near Flagstaff on Saturday, according to a report published by the Arizona Republic. Haeger, who is the younger brother of former Madonna head baseball coach Greg Haeger, graduated from Catholic Central in 2001.
