The FBI is tracking “concerning online chatter” pointing to possible violence during next week’s inauguration, Director Chris Wray said.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is eying more than 200 people suspected of taking part in last week’s ransacking of the U.S. Capitol, and federal law enforcement agencies have already arrested more than 100 people, FBI Director Christopher Wray said Thursday as his agents track “concerning” reports of possible violence during inauguration week. “Anybody who plots or attempts violence in the coming week should count on a visit [from the FBI],” Wray said.
