A Broadway actor who almost lost his sight in a brutal random attack at a Manhattan subway station is celebrating his recovery — by returning to the spotlight. After undergoing successful eye surgery, Alex Weisman,33, hit the small screen Tuesday appearing in NBC’s medical drama “New Amsterdam,” just under five months after the injury.
