Another Storm Looms After Tropical Storm Bill Moves Away From U.S.

Another system is expected to hit the U.S. this weekend.
Tropical Storm Bill strengthened into a storm with 60 mph winds on Tuesday while it rapidly moved away from the U.S. East Coast, but the early season tropical threat isn’t over, with another system expected to form in the Gulf of Mexico and hit the central Gulf Coast this weekend. « As we keep an eye out on a possible tropical development in the Gulf, now is the time to make sure you have a game plan in place this hurricane season, » Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) tweeted Monday night. Another system is being tracked over the far eastern Atlantic Ocean, but forecasters say « development, if any, should be slow to occur.
