Google is rolling out support for virtual COVID-19 vaccine cards in the US.
Android users will soon be able to carry a digital version of their COVID-19 vaccination and test cards in their pocket. Google’s updated Passes API now provides a secure way to store and access COVID-19 vaccination and test card information on Android devices. Developers from healthcare groups, government agencies, and other authorized organizations in the US are invited to create digital versions of COVID vaccination and test information. As long as your device is running Android 5 or above, information like the date and manufacturer of each jab or the result of a PCR test gets saved directly to your Play Protect-certified handset.
