Knowing is half the battle when it comes to watching Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, the third installment in the G.I. Joe film franchise that is coming to theaters this weekend. The movie will serve as an origin story for the character in the G.I. Joe universe known as Snake Eyes, a ninja-like soldier on the G.I. Joe command team. Played by Ray Park in the first two films, Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding is now stepping into the role to play Snake Eyes long before he joined the G.I. Joe team, back when he was just a trainee under a Japanese ninja clan. Joining Golding in the cast are Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, and Iko Uwais, with director Robert Schwentke ( The Divergent Series: Insurgent and The Divergent Series: Allegiant) at the helm.
