House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who infamously violated masking orders during last year’s pandemic for a hair appointment, and recently has been seen multiple times without a mask, apparently is threatening those at the Capitol with arrest if they fail to follow her own latest mask mandate. The orders, posted on social media by Congresswoman Kat Cammack, state, “If a visitor or staff member fails to wear a mask after a request is made to do so, the visitor or staff shall be denied entry to the House Office Buildings or House-side of the U.S. Capitol. Any person who fails to either comply or leave the premises after being asked to do so would be subject to an arrest for Unlawful Entry.” Members of Congress would be reported to House leaders and fined $500. The fight over masks erupted – again – after Pelosi created new mask rules amid alarmism about an upturn in COVID cases. The New York Post documented how it’s creating tensions since Republicans deride the mandate as an unscientific power trip.
