Learn more The day we’ve been waiting all month for has finally arrived. Starting today, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to all shoppers, meaning you no longer have to be a Nordstrom cardholder to access the incredible deals. This year’s sale includes over 5,000 items, and some of the best markdowns we spotted included a Barefoot Dreams blanket for under $100, a Tory Burch tote bag for almost half off and NuFace’s facial toning device at its lowest price yet. The sale will be live through August 8, but the best deals are guaranteed to sell out way before then. In fact, some of the most popular items typically sell out within hours of the event opening to the public. In other words, if you see something you want, add it to your cart ASAP. Below, find everything you need to know to make the most of this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale—including which markdowns are the best of the best. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is actually a multi-week event. Nordstrom cardholders have been able to shop the sale since as early as July 12, but as of today, the savings event is open to everyone. And the sale ends on August 8—regardless of your membership status. As we mentioned above, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to the general public. That means you now have access to all of the same deals that were available to Nordstrom cardholders earlier this month, regardless of whether you’re a Nordy Club rewards member or not. No, you don’t need to have a Nordstrom card in order to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Having one gets you early access to the sale, but the retailer eventually opens it up to the general public, like it did today. That said, you do earn rewards points for every dollar you spend at Nordstrom when you pay with the card, so it could be worth signing up for one if you’re planning to spend a lot during this year’s event. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale only happens once a year, so if you don’t take advantage of the deals during its two-week window, you’ll have to wait until the following year to see similar discounts. The savings event typically starts in mid July (just like it did this year), although in 2020 it was postponed until mid August due to the pandemic. The answer depends on your Nordy Club membership status. Cardholders have access to all of the Nordstrom deals for three to four weeks, depending on their membership tier. For the general public, the sale lasts exactly 12 days—July 28 through August 8. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 includes deals across all of the department store’s product categories. It’s broken down into men’s, women’s, kids’, home and beauty sections, allowing you to browse some of the best discounts depending on what you’re most interesting in. So far, some of the best markdowns we’ve seen include $42 off a set of Olaplex’s game-changing hair products and 34% off Spanx’s mega popular leather leggings. But that’s just the beginning. If you prefer to shop in-store, you can start doing so today. All of the same discounts that you see online will be available at your local Nordstrom during its regular store hours from July 28 until August 8. That said, we highly recommend shopping the sale online, since you have a better chance of finding the items you want in stock. Short answer: Yes. Nordstrom offers some of its biggest discounts of the year during its Anniversary Sale, and we’ve already spotted markdowns that rival those available around Black Friday in this year’s lineup. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is also a notoriously good time to score deals on fall and winter items like jackets, boots and jeans before the cooler weather hits. And while it may seem premature to order a new parka in the middle of summer, the hundreds of dollars in savings makes it totally worth it in our book. Whether or not a discounted item gets restocked depends on how much inventory Nordstrom has received. In some cases, they’ll be getting additional shipments of the item you have your eye on, so you’ll get another chance to purchase it later on in the sale. On the other hand, if the department store sells through its entire stock of an item and they’re not expecting additional shipments, then you’re out of luck.
