Microsoft is expanding its cloud gaming on Xbox Game Pass to both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles this holiday season.
The Xbox cloud gaming service is headed for both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles this holiday season. The feature is a bigger deal for Xbox One owners at a time when the Xbox Series X continues to sell out. Eventually, these consumers will be able to run Xbox Series X games on the older console without paying for the hardware. That includes titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator and The Medium—so long as they subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. “We’ll begin testing the experience as part of our Xbox Insider program this fall, so that we can gather valuable feedback and improve the experience,” the company said during its Gamescom 2021 live stream on Tuesday.
