*** Sex Education Season 3 spoilers ahead *** The third season of Sex Education delivered a medley of wonderful moments: The opening musical montage, the evolution of Eric and Adam, and, of course, Otis and Maeve admitting they have feelings for each other in the fifth episode of the season. The stars seemed to have aligned for Moordale’s ill-fated lovers as Sex Education fans were finally going to see the Otis/Maeve romance they’ve been clamoring for since jump street. But in typical Sex Education fashion, there was a roadblock on the couple’s journey toward happily ever after. Earlier in the season, Maeve applied for a gifted and talented program located in America. She was accepted (naturally), but she didn’t have the funds to attend the program. In the final episode of Season 3, Maeve’s mother Erin — who was on the run for, you know, that whole kidnapping her daughter debacle — was able to cobble together some money by “selling some shit” to help Maeve pay for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
