Posing as « Dave from Basketball Digest, » Letterman asked Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant why he was called « KD » and several other joking questions.
Brooklyn Nets’ superstar Kevin Durant was left stone-faced after he was asked several questions by veteran TV broadcaster David Letterman during the team’s media day. Letterman appeared at the Nets’ media day telling Durant that he was « Dave from Basketball Digest, » and started off his series of questions by asking him why fans and players referred to him as « KD. » Durant initially paused and appeared to be surprised by the question, saying, « My first name is Kevin, with a K and my last name is Durant with a D. » Letterman then asked Durant « what percentage » he plans on giving during the team’s upcoming season. « 110 [percent], » Durant said in response. As Durant appeared to keep his stone-faced expression, Letterman continued to ask him questions.
