Hawkeye is coming to Disney+ this autumn, as Jeremy Renner is joined by Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, giving you two Hawkeyes for the price of one.
The list of Marvel shows and films on Disney Plus is already ridiculously long, but it’s going to get substantially bigger over the next two years with all the live-action TV series on the way. One that’s on the way is a spin-off (and send-off?) for one of the original six Avengers: Hawkeye. We’ve rounded up everything we know so far about this Disney Plus series – read on for more information. In the meantime, why not check out our picks of the best TV shows and movies on Disney Plus? Hawkeye is now confirmed to begin airing on Wednesday 24 November, with episodes expected to drop weekly. Assuming that we’re getting six episodes – as we did for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki – that means the series should wrap on 29 December, just ahead of New Year’s. The Hawkeye trailer is officially here, with all the festive spirit you can imagine. Take a look below, and then read our trailer breakdown for all the information you need: We also have a look at the title sequence, which you can watch here: The series will follow Hawkeye training his young apprentice Kate Bishop, known from the comics to eventually take over the mantle of Hawkeye, and likely to eventually start appearing in the MCU movies too. Here’s a look at the pair of them together in the first official image from the show: Kate Bishop is already trained in martial arts when she meets Hawkeye, and so is a quick learner of archery under Clint’s mentorship. Like Hawkeye, she doesn’t possess any superpowers, and focuses more on street crime rather than massive outer space threats. The inclusion of Lucky the dog in the series gives us hope that the series will be adapting the phenomenal My Life as a Weapon arc from the comics, but as yet that’s unconfirmed. Producer Kevin Feige also revealed at the D23 Expo that we’d see more into the life of Ronin – Clint Barton’s darker alter-ego that went on a killing spree after losing his family due to the Thanos snap.
