Whether it was in playoff openers or second-round games, plenty of players showed out on Friday night
Another Friday, another night of thrilling Iowa high school football. There were excellent performances from every region of the state, but some stood out above the rest. Here are some top performers from Friday’s first- and second-round playoff games: The Spartans running back was everywhere in Friday’s 42-14 opening-round win over Cedar Falls. Lindmark ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns on just 10 carries. The Harlan quarterback did his thing in Friday’s 45-0 win over Ballard, going 15-for-18 passing for 222 yards and four touchdowns. Anyone can shine in Webster City’s rushing attack, and Hisler got the nod Friday. He rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries, as Webster City rolled to a 57-20 win over Norwalk.
