Heather Mack was arrested with her boyfriend in Bali in 2014 after her mother’s body was found inside the trunk of a taxi.
An American woman who was convicted of helping to kill her mother in Bali in 2014, then stuffing the body in a suitcase, was released early from prison on Friday. Heather Mack, who’s now 26, served seven out of the 10 years of her sentence. She didn’t say anything to the crowd of reporters as she was escorted out of the Kerobokan Female Prison in Bali’s capital city Denpasar into a waiting car. She was then taken to an immigration office near Bali’s international airport.
