A powerful storm killed at least 375 people in the Philippines when it struck the country on Thursday, BBC News reported. The super typhoon, named Rai, injured at least 500 people while 56 remain missing, according to police, the BBC reported Monday. Approximately 400,000 people were forced to run when the storm hit the southeast islands on which they resided. Rai had winds of about 120 mph and left what rescue crews described as “complete carnage” behind, the BBC reported.
