In our review of the OnePlus 10 Pro recently, we found that one of its best features is the camera system in the phone. In this piece, we explore the OnePlus 10 Pro camera, which is the product of the second-gen OnePlus and Hasselblad collab, in detail.
Recently over here at India Today Tech, we reviewed the OnePlus 10 Pro. While we found the phone to be a well-rounded package, one part of it particularly impressed us. This was the camera system in the phone. So much so that we titled the review „Best ever camera from OnePlus makes it an Android superstar“. In other words, based on our experience of shooting photos and videos with the OnePlus 10 Pro, we feel that this phone has the best camera system ever in a OnePlus phone. Now that the review is, done, let’s explore the technology and the feature set that powers the OnePlus 10 Pro camera system. Some of it is superfluous, but some of it is mighty impressive and useful. Like it was the case with the previous OnePlus 9 Pro, the new OnePlus flagship too has a camera system where the company has worked with Hasselblad, an iconic camera brand. The OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by, what OnePlus calls, Hasselblad 2.0 system. And unlike the previous collaboration, this time we feel the results of it are indeed more substantial and meaningful for users. But about that in a while. First, let’s deal with the mundane numbers and specifics. — There are four cameras in the OnePlus 10 Pro. On the front, the phone has a selfie shooter with a 32-megapixel IMX615 sensor made by Sony. This camera comes with EIS and, as is common for selfie shooters, fixed focus. — On the rear, the phone has a 48-megapixel shooter at the centre of the camera system. This camera uses a custom Sony IMX789 sensor which is a large sensor. This camera uses EIS and OIS both and has a 7-piece lens. By default, it captures 12-megapixel photos because it uses pixel-binning to combine 4 pixels into 1 superpixel, and that helps the OnePlus 10 Pro click detailed and brighter photos. — The phone comes with an 8-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens. And then there is another 50-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens and Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. — The OnePlus 10 Pro camera system has dual-LED flash and supports features like night mode.
