Monetized ring fetch quests, anyone?
EA is developing a new game set in The Lord of the Rings universe for mobile devices that will be playable in beta form this summer. Rather than a new, epic adventure on PC and consoles, EA is partnering with Middle-earth Enterprises and The Saul Zaentz Company to create a free-to-play mobile experience. It’s called The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, and described as a collectible role-playing game based around a „strategic, social-competitive experience.
