The S&P 500 fell 0.3% as of 11:24 a.m. Eastern. The benchmark index was up as much as 1.9% in early trading. It slumped 3.2% a day earlier, hitting its lowest level in more than a year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 16 points, or 0.1%, to 32,153 and the Nasdaq fell 0.2%.
