Walls and Shadows opens the Lunden arc in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and features a bloody introduction and investigation in the city.
Upon finishing either the East Anglia arc or Oxenefordscire arc in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players have the option to pursue the next line of quests in Lunden. This storyline begins with the quest Walls and Shadows and introduces the pair of characters that will dominate this relatively short arc: Stowe and Erke.

Players need to travel to the southern portion of England in order to begin this quest and the Lunden arc in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. To the north of the city that gives this arc its name, players need to approach the traffic heading into the gate to trigger the opening cutscene. Through this, players are dropped into unarmed combat against a pair of revolting civilians alongside new character Stowe.
