As players explore the Fortnite map, they will sometimes stumble upon characters that will sell them items or that can even be recruited for a certain price. These are the Fortnite NPCs, and they can come in handy if players know which ones to look for in certain situations; sometimes, a powerful weapon is all the player needs, but other times an NPC with healing items is what truly makes a difference.

A new season has started, and that means that the character’s in-game Collection has been wiped clean and reset. A couple of NPCs, such as Sunflower, are still available, but players need to talk to them once again if they’d like to register them to complete their Collection.
At the moment, there are 12 friendly NPCs scattered throughout the battle royale map, and they all provide different services. It is likely that as Chapter 4 Season 2 goes on, this number will grow; it’s not unusual for Epic Games to add more characters to the map as the devs update the game throughout the various weeks of the season.
