March Madness, the annual NCAA tournament for men’s and women’s basketball, will begin on March 14 and continue through April 3 to decide this year’s national champions. Both tournaments will feature 68 collegiate teams with a single game, single elimination format.
The March Madness tournament brackets were revealed on March 12, Selection Sunday, during separate live shows on CBS and ESPN. South Carolina won the women’s tournament last year and earned a top seed with an undefeated regular season record. Stanford, Virginia Tech, and Indiana also earned #1 seeds in the women’s tournament. Defending men’s champion Kansas earned a top seed as well, alongside Houston, Alabama, and Purdue.
March Madness begins with the First Four, pitting the lower seeded teams in the men’s and women’s tournaments against each other to earn the 11th and 16th seeds in the larger bracket. The men’s first four games will be played on March 14 and 15 on TruTV, while the women’s first four will be played on March 15 and 16 on ESPNU and ESPN2.How to watch March Madness 2023
