After briefly disappearing from the app, Lana Del Rey — whose given name is Elizabeth “Lizzy” Grant — is back in the Twitter crosshairs as debate swirls over the pop star’s weight, all thanks to one mean tweet.
The cruel post, which was uploaded earlier this month by user @OxAutismo, featured a composite of the 37-year-old Grammy Winner’s figure “before” and “after” she ostensibly put on a few pounds, News.com.au reported. The cretin captioned it “worse than 9/11.”
The user’s account has since been deleted, but only after the tweet had amassed thousands of views. Thankfully, responses to the most recent tweet were overwhelmingly positive with one Del Rey defender writing, “The way boys act out when celebrities gain weight is so strange.
