Mobile announced its purchase of the budget telecom service provider Mint Mobile owned by Ryan Reynolds. It is part of T’s acquisition of the Ka’ena Corporation.
The Hollywood actor tweeted, “I never dreamt I’d own a wireless company, and I certainly never dreamt I’d sell it to T-Mobile.”
He added, “Life is strange, and I’m incredibly proud and grateful.” Also, a press release announcement mentioned he will keep his “creative role on behalf of Mint.”
Ryan Reynolds bought Mint Mobile in 2019, saying he was “excited to champion a more practical approach to the most essential technology.”
It was founded in 2016, and it aims to deliver an “affordable, premium wireless” service direct to consumers.
Mint Mobile’s main feature is its $15 monthly subscription, which is more affordable than most competitors.
The website claims it provides “5G for free” and “flexible plan options” with “no extra overhead.
